What the site currently uses
Thailand Diary uses essential session technology where needed for sign-in and secure access. It also uses browser storage to remember device-local diary content and trip choices.
First-party usage measurement
Optional visitor analytics are off by default and are enabled only if you choose Allow analytics in Analytics preferences. If enabled, a random browser identifier and tab visit identifier help measure visits and feature use. No thanks removes these identifiers and stops optional tracking. Separately, the server adds successful public-page loads to daily totals without storing visitor IDs, IP addresses, referrers or query strings in those counters. You can exclude this browser from basic counts in Analytics preferences; this stores only a constant opt-out preference cookie, not an identifier. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals also exclude those requests. No automatic popup is shown.
Partner search tools and video
Optional search tools and videos remain inactive until you choose to open them. Opening flight search connects to Kiwi.com and Travelpayouts services and can create provider cookies and browser-storage entries. Closing flight search reloads the page with the tool switched off; it does not remove existing provider cookies. Video providers connect when you load their video. Their privacy and cookie terms apply.
Fonts
The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google’s font servers when loading those font files, even if you have not opened a partner search tool.
What we do not currently use
Thailand Diary does not currently activate third-party behavioural advertising trackers automatically. If that changes, this policy and the site’s consent controls will be updated before non-essential tracking is enabled.
Booking-link measurement
When you follow a booking link, Thailand Diary records a server-side click event so we can understand which listings are useful. This record does not contain payment details and does not itself place an advertising cookie on your device.
Managing local data
You can clear browser storage and cookies using your browser settings. Clearing them may remove device-local diary content or require you to sign in again.
