From the Thailand Diary team · An editorial guide, not a first-hand traveller review.
Name the place, say what you tried and give the detail a reader would need to find it. A short, specific contribution can be more useful than a long review.
For a restaurant: give the dish and the address
Include the restaurant or stall name, town or neighbourhood, what you ordered and when you visited. If you mention a price, say what that amount bought and whether you paid it yourself. Include a map or official page link where you have one.
Describe the useful difference: a dish you would return for, a vegetarian option you actually ordered, a queue you encountered or a location that was difficult to find. Do not turn one visit into a promise that prices or service are always the same.
For a day out: explain how you got there
Give the start point, transport you used, the place you visited and what you had to arrange. For a boat trip, name the operator or departure pier if you know it. Say which parts were included and which you paid for separately.
Keep personal booking references, full tickets, other people’s contact details and private documents out of the submission. A useful description does not need them.
For a video: send a link the team can watch
For a longer video, including a ten-minute story, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and paste the full link in the contribution form. Public or unlisted links can work; allow embedding and do not password-protect the video. Include captions or a written description that explains the useful content.
Use material you own or have permission to submit. State if you work for the business, received a free meal or stay, or were paid. Website publication and social reuse are separate choices in the form; an unlisted video link becomes public if you give permission and the team publishes it.
Send for review, or join a conversation
Use Share your Thailand for a story, review, photo or video you want the team to consider. It stays private during review. If you submit while signed in, My contributions shows its status and any team feedback. Approval alone does not publish it, and no automatic email notification is sent.
To answer an existing Community question, open that post and use Reply publicly. This is a direct public conversation, not the private submission process. Your chosen public name appears with the reply; you can remove your own reply and report a problem for the team to review.

Questions worth answering
Can I submit without a public following?
Yes. Useful detail, rights to the material and clear permissions matter; a follower count is not required.
Is a conversation reply privately reviewed first?
No. Reply publicly posts to the conversation after you sign in. Photos, videos and longer stories submitted through Share your Thailand use the separate private review process.
How do I check a submitted story?
If you submitted while signed in, open My contributions. Guest submissions stay in the private team inbox; contact the team with your reference for help.
What our guide is built on
